5 Things About Me

1. I love to cook, not just “by the book” but to create my own recipes as well. One family favorite is pork tenderloin slow roasted in a white wine alfredo sauce with mushrooms. My 13-year old son still prefers Taco Bell as his favorite meal.
2. I am slightly obsessed with Cardigan Welsh Corgis. We have two of them, Nick and Cosette. Through the corgis, I have made friends from all over the world in countries like Japan, South Africa, and Russia.
3. My family loves to travel! Our favorite trip so far has been to Lisbon, Portugal with our friends Clay and Corinna. It was also the only trips that we did not miss any flights or lose any luggage in our 18 years of marriage.
4. I was an English major in college and have written sporadically over the years in various formats, but decided last year to start working on a series of autobiographical short stories. I’ll be accepting bribes in small, unmarked bills.
5. I can play the flute, the violin, and piano. I can also dance, sing, and know a wide variety of 1950’s show tunes. This comes in handy…I’m still trying to figure this out.

What I Love Most About KBS

We really work with a great group of people.  At the end of the day, we all have the same common goal – to make our clients happy and provide them with the best product possible.  We never, ever have the same day twice.  I think that’s what got me hooked on construction in the first place!  And then there’s the fact that you can drive through Richmond – look across the skyline – and know that out there, you’ve made an impact on this city.  It’s a great feeling.
