The Commodore is a mixed-use development comprised of 173 apartment homes over 202,000 square feet and four stories, situated atop two stories of underground parking and 3,500 square feet of street-level commercial retail space. The building is clad with a combination of brick veneer, fiber cement panel siding, vinyl windows and doors, and aluminum storefronts and entrances. Its S-shaped footprint gives way to two courtyards: one for the residential pool amenity area, and one for a more contemplative garden area.
The Commodore was delivered in 2024, representing a vibrant addition to the burgeoning Manchester area of Richmond, along with neighboring projects KBS has constructed including The Current, Decatur Box, South Falls Towers, The Hydro, Caravati’s Apartments, Plant Zero Apartments, Liv Lofts at Miller, 909 Perry Street, the Manchester Lofts, The Linc Manchester and The Jamestown.
