The Chester Family YMCA project includes the completion of a 13,000-square-foot renovation and 6,000-square-foot addition. Once complete, the project will add a new weight room and new group fitness studio as well as a community multi-purpose room, new childcare areas, a new family locker room, and new office spaces.
KBS has enjoyed a longstanding partnership with the YMCA of Greater Richmond, including the completion of more than 100,000 SF of additions and renovations since 2019. Our most recent experience includes the YMCA Petersburg, YMCA Northside, YMCA Swift Creek, YMCA Manchester, and YMCA Shady Grove Tommy J. West Aquatic Center. These projects have been completed on occupied campuses while facilities remained operational, and included: basketball courts, weight rooms, locker rooms, office spaces, meeting areas and restrooms.
