KBS, a construction services firm headquartered in Richmond, was named among the top 400 contractors in the U.S. by Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine. KBS’s ranking rose this year to #292, up from #339 in 2023.
Every year, ENR conducts a survey of large general contractors, engineers, architects and construction and program managers from around the world. The Top 400 Contractors list, published annually in May, ranks the 400 general contractors, both publicly and privately held, based on construction contracting-specific revenue.
ENR reports this year’s Top 400 Contractors revenue has increased by 13.9% to $556.9 billion from $488.98 billion in 2023. Additionally, 375 of this year’s Top 400 filed survey’s last year and 77.3% of those firms reported increased revenue. With this, firms reported that owners are prioritizing projects that will yield a larger return on investment.
