Superintendent, Scott Stallard and Project Manager, Will Paulette of Brookland Park Plaza, located in the Northside of Richmond, braved the heat on Saturday to volunteer at the 10th Annual We Care Community Festival. The festival was a family event for the Highland Park community where over 600 stocked backpacks were handed out to children in need that are getting ready to head back to school. The Hotchkiss Community Center, one block away from Brookland Park Plaza, hosted the event. The festival included health stations, children’s games, and a live performance from the John Marshall High School Marching Band. KBS was grateful to be able to support a community that has given their support to the Brookland Park Plaza project and KBS.
