Bill Paulette, President
Bill Paulette, president, founded KBS in 1975. With more than 31 years of construction experience, he has delivered numerous multi-million dollar projects in Central Virginia. His reputation among owners and subcontractors is unequaled in the Richmond marketplace. Paulette has a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Military Institute.
Dennis Lynch, Executive Vice President
As executive vice president, Dennis Lynch oversees the multi-residential, senior living and hospitality division. He has been integrally involved with the company's growth over its successful history, and has served as project manager on various multi-million dollar projects. Lynch attended the University of Richmond and majored in Business Administration.
Rich Lee, Vice President of Operations
As vice president of operations, Rich Lee oversees all KBS project management and field supervisory staff members. Lee has a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from University of Virginia, and a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University.
Steve Satterfield, Vice President of Preconstruction Services
As vice president of preconstruction services, Steve Satterfield is responsible for all preconstruction activities including conceptual estimating, competitive bidding, scoping and work packaging, scheduling, contract negotiations and purchasing. Satterfield has a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from University of Virginia.
John Gillenwater, Vice President of Business Development
As vice president of business development, John Gillenwater oversees all corporate business development and marketing strategies and initiatives. Additionally, he directs the Special Projects Division consisting of smaller scale projects and tenant improvements. Gillenwater has a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Clinch Valley College of the University of Virginia.
James Lipscombe, Chief Financial Officer
James Lipscombe is chief financial officer. He is responsible for directing and managing KBS's daily and long-term financial, administrative and information technology efforts based upon corporate goals, budgets, board resolutions and owner directives. James is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Sam Stocks, Vice President
Sam Stocks is senior project manager whose responsibilities include directing the Retail Division. Stocks holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Military Institute, and a Masters in Civil Engineering from University of Hawaii. Stocks is a registered professional engineer.
