Hancock Geriatric Treatment Center

The Hancock Geriatric Treatment Center was designed to create a living space that is practical and versatile. The layout of the building is designed as a crossbar with four wings; each wing features an interior courtyard. The building’s exterior is brick veneer and hardie plank siding, with an EPDM and shingle roof.

The project used non-combustible construction as well as a four-pile mechanical system. Patients stay in one- and two-bedroom suites with shared bathrooms, featuring ceramic tile. Each room is equipped with a patient lift. Additionally, the treatment center offers many specialized features, including a chapel, movie room, beauty parlor, activity room, theraputic pool, and offices for administrators and support.
