American Tobacco Center

The adaptive reuse of this building, which was originally erected in 1902, added 153 apartment units, including three two-story penthouse units, and three retail spaces to Richmond’s Shockoe Bottom.

The units, one to four-bedrooms ranging in size from 600-1100 square feet, feature stainless steel appliances, marble countertops, hardwood floors and exposed beams.

The building’s original structure, consisting of concrete and wood joists and beams, was preserved and will serves as the primary architectural feature. Among the building’s luxury amenities, residents may enjoy a rooftop pool. The penthouse apartment provides direct access to the pool area and a private patio overlooking the pool.
