KBS, Inc., one of the largest commercial construction firms in Virginia, is proud to announce the relaunch of its corporate website, www.kbsgc.com. The new site includes an enhanced project portfolio, interactive tools including easier access to social media pages and enhanced subcontractor bid opportunities list and qualifications form.
“The comprehensive site will better serve our existing client base, which includes some of Virginia’s top architects and developers,” says John Gillenwater, Vice President of Business Development at KBS. “It also demonstrates the advantages in choosing KBS to potential discerning clients in a difficult economy.”
The new website features rich graphic design to enhance user experience. Complex web development allows KBS to feature more than 50 of its construction projects categorized by market sector. With the new site, new projects can seamlessly be added to its impressive online portfolio, an ability to effectively feature and manage such large-scale developments on the web is a major benefit for KBS.
Having built more than 100 million square feet throughout the company’s 36-year history, “it was a challenge creating a site that truly reflects our depth of experience and diverse portfolio, but the new website does just that,” says Gillenwater. “KBS’s website is now on par with our longstanding reputation in the industry.”
The subcontractor bid opportunities page now provides easy access to a complete list of upcoming project bids. Each opportunity includes current information on projects, estimators assigned to bids and plan availability. The list of bid opportunities will be updated on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis to provide subcontractors with the most current information.
The new site will enhance the user experience by incorporating interactive elements such as the KBS blog and allowing easy access to KBS’s social media pages, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, plus iPhone compatibility. These interactive tools encourage discussion and comments on current construction best practices and challenges. This engagement creates a community that will allow clients, architects and subcontractors to interact with KBS staff.
“We are a close knit firm with deep roots in Virginia, and we want our staff and colleagues to have a sense of belonging more than ever. Via these online communities, the KBS family can feel more connected,” said Tenille Nuckols, Marketing Manager with KBS.
The new site was built and designed by Web Strategies, Inc., an online marketing firm with clients such as Greater Richmond Transit System, American Family Fitness, Keiter Stephens and Creative Office Environments.
